How do I burn my candle properly?Updated an hour ago
To get the longest, cleanest burn from your candle:
- First burn: Let the wax melt completely across the surface (about 2–3 hours for our 5.5 oz, 3–4 hours for our 11 oz). This prevents tunneling.
- Trim the wick to about ¼ inch (6 mm) before each burn. Long wicks cause smoking and uneven burning.
- Burn time: Don't burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Let the candle cool fully before relighting.
- Stop burning when ½ inch (1.3 cm) of wax remains at the bottom — for safety, and to make refilling easier.
Once empty, clean the vessel and use one of our candle refills to give your container a second life.
