How do I process a return or exchange?Updated 2 days ago
1. Submit a return request online
Click the profile icon in our store’s menu, or visit the Returns Portal
Log in using your email address — you’ll receive a six-digit verification code by email. Enter that code to access your account.
Once logged in, click “Request return” for the order you'd like to return.
If your order includes more than one item, select which item(s) you're returning, choose a reason, and feel free to leave us a note.
Then click “Request return” to submit the form.
2. Wait for approval
Once your request has been reviewed, you’ll receive an email confirmation.
If your return is approved, you’ll receive a prepaid return shipping label (for Canadian addresses), along with instructions on how to send the item back.
If your return is refused, we’ll reach out to you by email to explain why.
☝️ For refunds or store credits (not exchanges), a fixed return shipping fee of $9.00 CAD will be deducted from your total.
3. Send the item back
Pack the item carefully (preferably in its original packaging, with tags intact) and drop it off at the post office or shipping location as indicated. Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll process your refund, store credit, or exchange accordingly.
Exchanges (Canada): For the first exchange on an order, Mimi & August covers the return shipping cost – it’s free for you. If you need to exchange an item a second time, please contact our customer service at [email protected] ; a small shipping fee (CAD $10 + tax) will apply to additional exchanges.
Returns from USA & International: If you’re returning an item from outside Canada, our Returns Portal will still guide you through the steps. Once your return request is submitted, we’ll review it and either approve or refuse your return.
Please note: For international and U.S. returns, you will need to arrange the return shipment yourself — we’re unfortunately unable to provide a prepaid return label. You may use the postal service or courier of your choice. Once approved, we’ll send you the return address and instructions. Please make sure to clearly mark the package as “Returned Goods” to avoid additional customs fees. Mimi & August cannot cover any customs fees for returned items; if such fees are billed to us due to improper labeling, we may deduct them from your refund.
Return or Exchange in Store: You are welcome to return or exchange items in personat our boutique in Montreal.
Before coming in or sending back your items, please ensure that your return meets the following requirements:
Meet the below requirements
- Products must be unworn, unwashed, and unaltered, with no stains or odors (e.g. no deodorant marks, makeup, perfume, etc.).
- All original tags and packaging must be intact.
- For swimwear, the hygienic liner (protective sticker) must still be in place and untouched.
- Headwear and intimate items for hygiene reasons cannot be returned or exchanged. This includes caps, beanies, hair accessories, and underwear.
We reserve the right to refuse a return or exchange if the item doesn’t meet these conditions (for example, if it shows signs of wear or damage). All returned products are inspected upon receipt. If a return is rejected, the item will be sent back to you
